This floor vent cover replaces the visual interruption of a conventional grille with a clean, floor-matching design. Its recessed drop-in tray is made to hold a field-cut piece of your finished flooring, helping the vent coordinate with the surrounding surface while maintaining an open perimeter for airflow.
Flooring material is not included. Use a piece from your flooring installation and cut it to fit the tray.

The recessed tray can coordinate with many common flooring materials, including hardwood, engineered wood, laminate, luxury vinyl, tile, marble and stone. Your installer selects and cuts a suitable piece of the finished flooring to fit the tray.
Measure the Duct Opening Before Ordering
Vent-cover sizes refer to the clear duct opening, not the outside dimensions of the old grille. Remove the existing cover, measure the inside width and length of the opening, then select the matching product size.
Installation Overview
- Measure the clear duct opening and select the matching vent-cover size.
- Choose Sandtex Black or Sandtex White.
- Cut a piece of the finished flooring to fit the recessed tray.
- Secure the flooring piece using the installation method appropriate for that material.
- Place the completed vent cover into the prepared opening.
Final cutting and installation should be completed by a qualified installer when required by the flooring material or site conditions.
