Built for the finished floor

Designed to Match Every Flooring Material

A floor-matching vent uses a recessed insert that accepts the same finish material as the surrounding floor. The result is a discreet air opening without limiting the collection to tile alone.

Materials and finishes

Choose a compatible insert for hardwood, engineered wood, luxury vinyl plank, laminate, ceramic or porcelain tile, marble, terrazzo and natural stone.

Sizes and duct openings

Measure the duct opening, not the outside of the old cover. Common floor register sizes are listed by opening width and length.

Drop-in installation

Drop-in vent registers are suited to replacement and retrofit projects. Confirm the flange dimensions and finished-floor depth before ordering.

Supply and return applications

Floor vent covers may be used for supply or return air when the product dimensions, free-air area and HVAC specifications support that application.

How to Measure for a Floor Register

Remove the existing heat register, then measure the clear duct opening width and length. Check the product drawing for the outside flange and insert depth so it fits the finished floor assembly.

  1. Remove the old cover
  2. Measure the duct opening
  3. Confirm flange and depth

Floor Vent Cover FAQs

Will a floor-matching vent work with tile and wood?

Floor-matching vents can be compatible with both, along with vinyl, laminate, marble and stone. The allowable insert thickness depends on the individual product.

Is register size the same as the outside dimensions?

Usually no. A listed 4 × 10 floor register generally fits a 4 × 10 duct opening; the visible outer frame is larger. Always verify the product drawing.

Can a floor vent cover be used for return air?

Yes, when the specific cover provides the required free-air area and is approved for the return opening. Check each product specification before ordering.
