Instead of stopping the floor with a visible grille, this drop-in vent uses a recessed tray for a matching flooring insert. Air moves through the open perimeter while the centre coordinates with the surrounding finish.
Three simple steps
How floor matching works
Measure the opening
Remove the old register and measure the clear duct opening, not the outside of the old cover.
Cut your flooring insert
Use a compatible piece of your tile, wood, vinyl, laminate or stone and cut it to fit the recessed tray.
Drop it into place
Secure the flooring piece using the method suited to that material, then place the completed cover into the opening.

Measure the duct opening.
Vent-cover sizes describe the opening they are made to fit. They do not describe the outside edge of the old grille. For this product, the clear opening should be a nominal 4 x 10 inches.

Is the flooring insert included?
No. Use a field-cut piece of your finished flooring so the centre coordinates with the surrounding surface.
What does 4 x 10 mean?
It is the nominal duct-opening size. Measure the clear opening after removing the existing cover.
Can it be used for supply or return air?
It may be used with a compatible floor supply or return opening when the size and airflow requirements suit the HVAC system.
Which finish should I choose?
Choose Sandtex Black for dark flooring or a graphic contrast. Choose Sandtex White for pale floors and lighter interiors.
